CCleaner System Restore function

The ability to delete restore points is nice. Very nice.

What about the options to:

- Increase or decrease restore point creation frequency (- or + hours, min, seconds)

- Enable or disable restore on different drives

- Create a new restore point

- Select multiple restore points to delete at a time (What happens when someone has gigs of restore points?)

- Set the amount of allowed diskspace for system restore to use

I believe that these would really be beneficial to CCleaner users.

- Create a new restore point

I attached 2 files that should help with that. Extract to CCleaner folder

winsys2.zip

winsys2.zip

Awesome! Just one problem?

I extracted both files to the ccleaner folder, but when I went to sys restore control in ccleaner, I didn't see any new right click or other options. Is it hidden, or did I miss something?

I see you've never used winapp2.ini or winsys2.ini. That's ok though. Start CCleaner and go to cleaner->Windows Tab-> System -> System restore point. Right click and click clean to create a restore point. Or just check it and click Run Cleaner

What about an option to start system restore (and restore the selected restore point) from CCleaner?

I guess it would help if I had system restore enabled first, huh?

I forgot I had turned it off earlier!

Thanks!

Yep that would probably help!

Actually, just now enabled Sys Restore on my XP Pro with SP2 & it failed to show any right click option in CCleaner that you can make a new sys restore point. It DID show the new sys checkpoint it created upon enabling.

I verified both files were directly in the CCleaner folder before launching.

I'll check it out
