CCleaner stuck on counters.dat

I just upgraded to v5.23.5808 64-bit and when cleaning it gets stuck on counters.dat, just spins and spins forever

win 7 sp1 64 bit

it's 1 kb fle

C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\counters.dat

i unchecked "Tempory Internet Files" and ran again

now it spins on cleaning Internet Explorer, which i never use

i've reverted back to 5.22
