I've been using CCleaner for years, and I love it. I generally run CCleaner once a day. Today I ran it, and then I decided to check my list of cookies to see if there were any in my save list that I wanted to move to my delete list. All of the cookies on my delete list were still there. I ran CCleaner a couple more times, but the cookies were still there. I then went to Firefox and deleted all cookies from there and then went back to CCleaner, and all the cookies were still there. I ran CCleaner a couple more times, but all the cookies are still there.
Is is possible that the cookies are actually gone but CCleaner says they're still there?
Perhaps you might like to add a summary of what you found out in case it would help other users.
Welcome to the forum by the way
Thanks for the welcome.
I moved one of my cookies that I usually save into my delete list and ran CCleaner, and CC deleted that particular cookie, even though it still remained in the delete list along with all the others when it finished. So I'm assuming that CC continues to delete the cookies even though they still all show up on the list. However, when I run CC and look at what's been deleted in the main window afterwards, I don't see a list of cookies that have been deleted along with cache, temporary files, etc. so I'm still not sure about what's going on. By the way, my wife also uses CCleaner on her computer, and she has the same situation.
But I'm thinking that CC probably continues to delete my unwanted cookies even though the list of cookies to delete still remains after a cleaning.

I'm having exactly the same issue. Thought it might be a firefox issue since I recently upgraded to 3.0. Every time I open firefox the cookies reappear in CCleaner. I tried running CC with firefox open and cookies delete fine. I refreshed pages and cookies are still deleted. I closed and reopened firefox and presto the cookies are all back.....in the CC list at least.
It is really causing confusion for those that use Firefox and IE cookies.

Hi CEB,
There is a Firefox 3.x thing going on with the Cookies. You will probably have to turn off the Cookies option and handle the cookies with Firefox until it is no longer Beta or CCleaner and Firefox developers get things ironed out.
A Firefox user will probably be able to give you further advice.

EDIT
There will be less confusion if you only use CCleaner when Firefox is Kaput. (stopped, closed, not showing in Task Manager.) The same applies to Internet Explorer.

Thanks for the info davey. Even after "clear private data" in firefox, the cookies still reappear in CC.
I don't know that this is necessarily a Firefox problem, because I use Firefox exclusively, and I just switched back to an earlier CCleaner version 2.11.636, and it cleaned up my unwanted cookies list just fine. It seems that the problem is with all the versions of CCleaner after 2.11.636. I don't use Internet Explorer, so I can't say if the newer versions of CCleaner delete the unwanted cookie list with IE or not.

Finally found that these cookies were Chrome cookies left after I uninstalled Chrome. These cookies only appeared with CCleaner version 2.12 and later.
These Chrome cookies were in documents and settings\propri?taire\local settings\application data\google\chrome (something like that, don't remember exactly).
Since I've deleted any reference to Chrome no more problem.

Hello phoenix22,
Welcome to the forums !!!
Glad to have you as a member. Thanks for making your report. I know it is an extra effort for you.
Going back to the prior version of CCleaner seems to be the solution for Firefox 2.0.0.018 users until the problem is corrected.
