I spent twenty years in software testing - if this pile had my approval attached to it I’d have been sacked.
It’s dreadful! First install enticed me to try Avast (assumed was a free bundle) then proceded to try and flog me the full version with the usual scare mongering reveals. Uninstalled - and took forever to reboot.
Then tried CCleaner 7 only to discover the familiar and intuitive menu has been replaced by vague titles that obliged me to click around to find something vaguely akin to what I was looking for. Also, at some point the program wanted to INSTALL cookies instead of removing them. Everything was slowwwww and clunky. Thankfully I quit without doing anything because other reviews claim things get deleted or broken if the software is actually used as intended.
I recently renewed my subscription on 6. I’m going to uninstall 7 and go back to 6. If that isn’t possible or if 7 keeps trying to inflict itself every time I try to use the original I’m getting my money back.
Truly dreadful and unncessary ruination of a once excellent product. Shame upon all the houses of those involved.
