Good morning to all.
I am using CCleaner 1.15.507 on my iMac and today for some reason I got an alert that CCleaner wants to use my contacts. I have never gotten that alert before. I just closed CCleaner and did not use.
What do think I should do.

TBH if something was wanting to steal your contacts or any other data then it would not give you a warning first, it would just take it.
I have had CCleaner on Android phones and devices, and when installing (and at other times) it warns that it needs 'access' to your contacts list among other things, in order to be able to clean it.
Presumably it's the same with an iMac?
Most cleaners and anti-virus/anti-malware programmes need such access to work properly, they are not taking anything just checking that it's clean.
So the first question is was it just saying that it needed 'access' to your contacts list - in order to clean it?
I suspect that is all you were seeing.
However if you want to be cautious then run an anti-virus or anti-malware programme to check your machine is not infected.
In the end though if you don't like what any particular app is trying to access then don't use it.
Thanks for your input. I found it strange also. I might just delete the program and download it again..
Thanks
