CCleaner repeats same clean over and over

I've Got 'cleaning complete' 3662 MBof remove, 6612 files mostly of Windows system files (empty recycle bin) - I've done this a few dozen times now in the last hour always with the same result - 3662MB and 6612 files.

Recycle bin appears empty all during this. Any comments gratefully received

I'm not using secure deletion, just simple deletion

If the recycle bin 'appears' empty but CCleaner says that where it keeps finding the files to clean, then you may have a corrupt recycle bin.
