Hi there, I have the latest version, and i have been doing some testing. My Windows Security Icon on my taskbar vanishes when using CCleaner, The moment uninstall CCleaner the icon reappears. For me, i like to see the icon and its peace of mind having it there. Can someone please help me work out a way to keep CCleaner installed and for it not to remove my Windows Security taskbar icon? It did not happen until the latest update i don’t think.

Are you able to do a screen recording showing the icon present, launching CCleaner, and the icon disappearing, then when CCleaner is closed, the icon reappearing?

When the security icon disappears is there an upwards pointing arrow at the left of your System Tray icons, like this one:
If so then that’s a tray overflow, the system tray can only show so many and if there are more it puts them in the overflow and that little arrow appears.
Clicking that arrow shows the icons that are in the overflow.
Unfortunately I’m not able to do a recording at present. However, with CCleaner installed, when I boot or restart my pc, the shield icon briefly for a split second appears on the taskbar, then it goes away, and then appears very quickly once more before going away.
As soon as I uninstall CCleaner, and reboot my pc, the icon shield reappears and remains.

I have checked the arrow and the overflow icons yes, but the security shield is not there with those icons.
It’s only happening with CCleaner installed. I’ve tried various steps, but I can’t seem to get it to remain. Unless I uninstall CCLeaner.
@Mejjo Do you have Windows Security notification icon disabled under Startup Manager?
If so please enable this and let me know if this resolves the issue?
Yes i do have this showing as enabled already

I just want to add that if i go to run and put C:\Windows\System32\SecurityHealthSystray.exe in and run that, the shield icon appears again, however, will always go upon a reboot or shut down / turn on.
@Mejjo, I am only able to replicate this issue by disabling this option.
Please can you click the three dots to the right of Windows Security Notification icon and select Open in RegEdit and send me a screenshot of what you see.

Thanks @Mejjo, could you try to disable the Windows Security notification icon option in Startup manager, reboot your PC then reenable the option and let me now if after another reboot the issue is resolved?
Hi @Laurence_CCleaner Unfortunately this did not make any difference and the icon does not appear unless i go to run and run C:\Windows\System32\SecurityHealthSystray.exe
@Laurence_CCleaner I should also add, in case this is any help to you. When i run C:\Windows\System32\SecurityHealthSystray.exe this only works if the option in Task Scheduler is disabled.
If i disabled the CCleaner 7 option in Task Scheduler and then run this the icon returns, if i have this enabled in task scheduler and then run it the icon flashes up and then goes away again.
@Mejjo, thanks for this information, do you have a Health Check scheduled on start up in CCleaner?

Unfortunately this has made no difference my end. I have tried to disable / enable the icon in startup manager again to see if the update made a difference when trying that, but sadly it hasn’t.
