Ccleaner removed three shortcuts to network folders

Hello-

I ran ccleaner on a users desktop and it appears to have removed three shortcut links to the server. I reviewed the settings under cleaner and desktop shortcuts were unchecked.

I also ran the registry cleaner and made a backup before preforming the action. I reviewed the .reg file and none of these links were listed.

Is this a bug in the latest version?

Thanks,

John

I have a similar problem with CCleaner deleting shortcuts from the desktop. I am going to establish a copy of my desktop shortcuts so that I can restore as necessary after CCleaner completes. Though this is extraneous effort, it is still better than not running CCleaner.

Of course, I have no idea if other items are also being deleted. I cannot find a clue among the options.

Thanks,

Barry

1. Open CCleaner.
2. In 'Cleaner > Windows' look under the 'System' area and untick/disable Start Menu Shortcuts and Desktop Shortcuts
I personally only enable those two when I need them, but even then I always click Analyze first just to be safe.
