CCleaner Registry - Cannot seem to fix Registry issue after scanning - Please help

In the last couple of days I am getting an issue identified when scanning the Registry for issues, this being:

Installer Reference Issue:

C:\Windows\Installer\{E80F62FF-5D3C-4A19-8409-9721F2" could not be located. These references are often left behind after uninstalling software.

Solution: Delete the registry value.

Even after selecting "Fix issue" and it dissapears, as soon as i open CCleaner and scan the Registry, this issue keeps re-appearing.

Please advise how i can fix

Many thanks

Can you confirm if the folder exists? Start, Run: C:\Windows\Installer

Look to see if there is a subfolder named {E80F62FF... You may have to enable the viewing of hidden system files/folders via Explorer (Tools, Folder Options, View tab).

Either CC is not removing the key or you have an application installed that is performing a silent repair (msi) and restoring the registry key.

I have searched for that file using the "Run" command as suggested and it has found a file with the prefix "C:\Windows\Installer\{E80F62FF-5D3C-4A19-8409-9721F2", but with a slightly longer name (probably the same file but with a fuller name, not viewable within CCleaner"

The file itself is a application.exe

What should I do next please?

Right click application.exe, select Properties, then if it has a Version tab click that to see if it gives any useful info, such as; what the program is.

If it has some version info this may help you determine if it's something you've previously uninstalled and if it's still lingering about on your system, in which cause if it's only partially uninstalled you may want to try Microsoft's freeware Windows Installer CleanUp Utility.
