CCleaner Professional not running on 64-Bit Win10 after auto-update to v5.89

Running a registered version of CCleaner Professional on 64-Bit Windows-10 and ever since the last auto-update to v5.89, everytime I run CCleaner the popup box appears for a fraction of a second and then, closes. It also disappears (assuming closing) from the task-bar after I run it.

Is anybody else running into this and any thoughts on how to clear it up, hoping it might clear-up after the next update, but not sure when that will happen.

Thanks much!

There are two versions of. 89

Make sure you have the second release as crashing when opening was fixed by that release

That does sound like it would do it. I had the same problem on a Win7 PC with that release and it seemed to clear up and when I looked, the .89 version was just installed per Control Panel (but I knew it had been installed many days before). Any best way to download and install the 2nd version of .89? Would the download page of the "trial" version give me the 2nd rev (then of course need to find that license key)?

@Mike7036: solution and links here:

If you have uninstalled and reinstalled CCleaner then you may have cleared the licence key from your PC, in which case you may need to go to Options > About to re-enter your licence information if you find yourself on a trial or free version. Thank you much! Nailed it with the manual download since CCleaner wasn't up enough for auto-update to work!
