CCleaner hangs when analysing & cleaning files - Portable Version 2.28.1091.
It hangs for a while between 52% to 57%.
It is, therefore, taking longer to do the task then the previous version.
I have been using Portable Versions for over a year & this is the first time this delay has happened.
I have, therefore, reverted back to the previous version.
Any comments / solutions please, thanks.
uncheck everything (windows and applications)
check the first box ->clean
check the next box -> clean
repeat until you find the one that seems to be hanging and then report back here
it doesn't have anything to do with it being portable btw all portable does is force use INI instead of registry for settings and doesn't run in an installer.
Problem Solved
The Ccleaner hanging problem is no more.
This was due to the inclusion of the Folder " C:\WINDOWS\system32\CatRoot2\*.* ", which it did not like.
I have changed that to " C:\WINDOWS\system32\CatRoot2\tmp.edb " &
" C:\WINDOWS\system32\CatRoot2\edb.chk "
and the problem has disappeared.

it would be nice to include to clean all unnecessary Windows *.tmp & *.chk files as well & also, more
importantly, Flash Cookies which are located in the Folder
" C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player\ ".
