Hello me1,

Welcome to the forum!!!

Have you rebooted since you downloaded CCleaner?

Try that first.

yes I did.

I have Windows 2000 and it is fine for me. However, it doesn't show my processor. It happened after an update.

Did you also try stretching the window. It looks extremely narrow to me.If that does not work I would try another download.

Something is affecting the graphics of the window.

P.S. You may also need newer C++ software.If you do,don't forget to reboot after installing the new software.

Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86)

Windows 2000; Windows Server 2003; Windows Vista; Windows XP

Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86)

Windows 2000 Service Pack 4; Windows Server 2003; Windows Vista; Windows XP

It's just the same. I tried that c++ thing too but still just the same when I stretch the window.

Even in fullscreen.

There is someone out there with the answer.

What happens when you try resetting your Graphics settings? Control Panel > Display > Settings

First try switching from 32 - bit to 16 bit and back again.

Then try the Advanced settings at the bottom.

I tried that but there's no difference. It's just the quality of the pictures. I don't have any service packs for my windows and I don't think it should be necessary for a program like that to run.

Me1, Have you checked the refresh rate you have set for your monitor is compatable with your graphics card.

Yes, I tried different refresh rates. 70 or 72 Hz or whatever it is. I also re-installed direct x but there's still no difference.

Two things come to mind. First, make refresh rate 60, and next go to video card manufacturers website to check for driver updates. Remember to follow the driver installation instructions very carefully, or things could get worse. ;)

I tried that now and I got the latest graphics drivers but it's still the same, lol. It just the quality of the pictures that changes. :huh: (there even ain't any difference really)

Hey me1,

Is CCleaner running OK ???

It may be a Windows 2000 without service packs thing.

It is strange to see all the icons folded over the way they are and the CCleaner.com in the banner is folded over also.

As far as I have seen you are the only user reporting this type of problem.

Thanks for the report and efforts,

:) davey

Would the version of Java matter? I don't see how the runtime environment would affect graphics, but it's the only remaining option that I can think of. Maybe Event Viewer could shed more light on the matter.

I had the same problem on a Windows 2000 machine I was sorting out which didn't have any service packs installed. It fixed itself after SP4 was installed.
