CCleaner not searchable in start menu

Thanks for taking a loot at my issue.

I installed CCleaner and now have a folder on my startmenu with CCleaner inside of it. When open the start menu and begin typing CCleaner nothing shows up in search results, not even in apps. However once i fully type out CCleaner it does show up. This is annoying and I would like CCleaner to launch using only a few keys, just like all my other apps. Thanks!

g'day @tonightwetaco and welcome.

what are your OS and CC versions?

when you type just cc and wait, say 10 seconds, no results are found?

hello, mta.

OS is Windows 10. I am using CC version 6446

when i type CC, nothing of use comes up

It's because of Win10 quirks! CCleaner isn't the only program to suffer from that.

I see it with a few things that don't show in the start menu search until you put the full name in. Even some Windows utilities.

Others (including CCleaner) pop up after a couple of letters.

Why not just pin CC to your taskbar so you can launch it with a single click?

thanks for the info, Andavari. I was beginning to thin it's a glitch as well.

Thanks, nukecad. Thats a workable solution but I wanted to get the the deeper issue here.

reinstalled my OS and opted never to run the CCleaner registry cleaner, things seem fine

Good call :)

Don't forget an often forgotten CCleaner feature in CCleaner's Options->Settings, you can enable CCleaner to be available in the Recycle Bin's right-click menu to Open or Run it.
