CCleaner not clearing IE cookies

A few weeks ago I posted on here about after clearing Internet Explorer cookies suggested videos were still being shown on YouTube based on my viewing habits and they would only disappear after deleting cookies using Windows Internet Options. Now I've noticed after cleaning with CCleaner that I'm still signed in to Facebook. Only after using Windows Internet Options do I have to sign in again. What's going on? It's like CCleaner no longer clears all cookies. For the record, I do not have any cookies set to keep.

I've also just noticed that I'm still signed in to Piriform forums despite the fact that I should be signed out. Also clearing on Edge is not working either, I noticed I was still signed in on Facebook with all Edge options ticked on CCleaner. Only by using the normal Edge clearing history options would it work.

I have the same problem. Even with all Edge options ticked on CCleaner, after cleaning the details show MS Edge Coookies skipped.

Win10 version?

Edge version?

CC version?

reboot into Safe Mode, run CC from there ands report back.

if successful, some MS software may still be running in the background causing Edge to be skipped.

Beginning today, CCleaner is skipping IE cookies...both when I analyze and delete. I made sure I had latest version of CCleaner...same problem. I also went only and tried to follow debug instructions but that didn't work either. I kept getting a popup that m computer couldn't find the path to CCleaner. Frustrating.

Same in Chrome. Again.
