CCleaner management needs to apologise

Will somebody from Gen Digital or Avast stand up and apologize for the terrible state CCleaner7.

It needs to be rolled back IMMEDIATELY.

Honestly, it’s frustrating to see so many threads here met with silence, canned responses, or no acknowledgment at all. The sheer number of posts from long-time users voicing the same complaints should have triggered a proper statement from CCleaner’s management by now — not just quiet edits and vague replies.

Instead, what we got with version 7 is a “Product Roadmap & Suggestions” announcement and a shiny new Ideas Board, inviting users to “help shape the future.” The irony is painful — the same release that stripped away long-standing Pro features, broke automation tools, and left paid customers hanging now proudly promotes a feature for collecting ideas.

It almost feels like the PM team got so carried away trying to look “Agile” that they forgot the basics of user empathy, QA, and continuity. You don’t ask customers to suggest improvements right after removing the very functions they paid for. That’s not iteration — that’s regression wrapped in a feedback form.

If this were a genuine Agile retrospective, the first action item would be simple: acknowledge the mess, apologize publicly, and fix what was broken before asking for new ideas.

Until then, no amount of “roadmaps” or “idea boards” will rebuild the trust that version 7 just erased.

Remember that the moderators here are not CCleaner employees, we are users who are very experienced, and trusted to ban spammers and keep the forum tidy.

Agreed it’s frustrating that the CCleaner staff are not answering any questions and are leaving it to us users.

‘Canned responses’ - Yes, because most of the posters are asking exactly the same things then I have made a few cut and paste replys to save wearing out my fingers typing the same things over and over again,
I will change them if necessary to suit individual questions.

“No response” - If someone has made a statement/complaint without asking a question then a response is not required (and could only be agreement or a platitude anyway).
