Hey! Hoping I can get some direct help here. I downloaded CCleaner, ran the recommended settings, and now youtube is slow. It even freezes. Kinda depressing. Any ideas how to fix this? The other posts were too confusing to me. Some say run it more times, others say make sure you have a backup. I unfortunately don't have a backup. I just want youtube to run like it used to before installing this. Thanks!!!
Did you use it to clean files, or did you use it to clean the registry? Or both? You should always use the backup feature when cleaning the registry. That way you can undo it if you encounter a problem.
What browser and windows version are you using?
Thanks guys, I fixed it. I just did a system recover, which was luckily just a couple days before I downloaded CCleaner. So now my computer is as if i never downloaded it, and Youtube is running just fine now. Next time, if I want to do CCleaner, I'll make sure I research a bit more about it and take the time to read thru all the options that CCleaner gives me. To be honest, it was kinda too much for me to handle, so I just decided to do all the recommended settings to clean it up. I should have read thru the options a bit more. Or maybe CCleaner can make it a bit more user friendly, to us average Joes.
If system restore fixed it then you must have run registry clean.
For future reference follow the advices in my signature for this (or especially any other registry "cleaning" products)
Glad to hear you're all right. I was going to suggest either restoring the registry or using a restore point.
