CCleaner Listings Apps That I Don't Have Anymore

Yep, its listing apps that I don't have on my PC anymore, which are:

Google Earth

Office XP

DVD Shrink

Anyway to get rid of them? I have been searching for these names in the registry and deleting what I find....

untitled3oc1.png

None of the things I mentioned are there. Thats the thing, they're all uninstalled, spare folders deleted, registry values left over (cleaned up) - they're all gone as far as I can tell.

EDIT: Soughted out Google Earth and DVD Shrink, not Office XP...

Where does it show Office XP?

Under Cleaner Settings - Applications - Applications - Office XP

Ah, misunderstood you.

It's funny, I have Office XP, and both XP & 2003 are listed under there.

No idea what it causing it to be there.

Anyone else out there who does (thanks for the help though Rob - I don't mean for that to sound sarcastic!)?

In winapp.ini it appears to check:

[Office XP] Detect=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Common

[Office 2003] Detect=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Common

for the applications.

Don't forget WinXP can duplicate some registry keys. For example many or should I say most or all of my programs are duplicated in:

HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-299502267-1078081533-725345543-1003\Software

The location on your system would most likely be under a different key.

I'll do another look in the registry for Office XP - thats the only one left now though, everything else got cleaned up.

I sorted it out. Found an obscure subkey under Microsoft - Office. Thats gone, so it s all fine now, thanks!

I also have various softwares listed under Applications that I either no longer have installed, or never had in the first place.

I do not worry too much about them, except that with winapp2 the list gets pretty long.

However, shouldn't that be something that Ccleaner "Issues" could try to clean up?

Don't know. All I know is I had bits left behind in the registry that I had to get rid of...
