CCIeaner appears to be unable to clean many types of files that it used to be able to clean easily. I’ve just run cleaning twice, and it has been completely unable to remove any of these types of files:
System recycle bin
Edge chromium (even though it is closed–I checked thoroughly in Task Manager it is definitely not running)
Firefox (even though it is closed–I checked thoroughly in Task Manager it is definitely not running)
Slack (even though it is closed–I checked thoroughly in Task manager it is not running)
Office (even though it is closed–I checked thoroughly in Task manager it is not running)
Custom files and folders (even though they are owned by my logged-in user and not by administrator)
Windows error reporting

I am coming back to CCleaner after not using it for about 2 years, and it appears to have become terrible. Why can’t it clean any files? It used to do everything with no fuss.
6 just doesn’t enumerate the failed cleans. 7’s sin is that without a second scan it’s impossible to tell which of the results are cleaned and which were not (Details and CSV don’t show this information). When it gives you the “unable to clean” flag DOES NOT mean all files couldn’t be cleaned only that one or more couldn’t (again 7 makes this confusing and does not readily give the information which ones)
Thanks, I appreciate the extra info. FWIW, I manually checked, and NONE of the files in the listed categories had been cleaned. The entire contents of the Recycle Bin, etc. were still there.
