CCleaner Is Not Wiping Firefox 27 Saved Passwords

I installed Firefox 27 a few days ago, and was upset to find that by defaukt it saves passwords, even though I never agreed to that, and cannot sopt in in Firefox options. For older Firefox versions, when "sacved passwords" is checked, the paswords were not saved. Now they are saved not only in the same session, but after running Ccleamer and rebooting. I have not changed any Firefox storage locations. Why isn't Ccleaner wiping the passwords anymore?

In the URL bar in Firefox, type about:preferences and hit enter.

Select the security tab, and untick the box that says 'Remember passwords for sites.'

Then click the saved passwords button, and 'Remove all' in the dialog that opens after that.

As for why CCleaner is not clearing them, I have no answer. If they were previously stored in a SQLite file, they may now be stored in a JSON file.
