Ccleaner is not backing up on One Drive. Can it be excluded from backup?

One Drive does not recognize CCleaner to be able to back it up. Is there a way to exclude it from one Drive backup?

I don’t understand. CCleaner installs to the program files directory not onedrive (i guess unless you tell it to). Is CCleaner running in the background, which means it’s open. even if it is in onedrive i don’t think it can backup if open.

Ok what it is, is One drive is giving an error message with the CCleaner shortcut on Windows 11. On CCleaner installation, when the shortcut is installed, that is causing an issue with One Drive. It says I do not permission for it. Strange. When you delete the shortcut, the error message goes away.

That might be a bug in windows where it sees a link file as it’s linked file. I’ve not seen tgat myself but i don’t tend to keep program shortcuts on my desktop.
Sadly i don’t think there’s a way to tell onedrive to ignore a file or at least I’ve never found one.

Edit i found this with a simple search
