Hi, could anyone help me, i have used CCleaner for quite some time and when deleting issues i always make a backup, the past few days i have noticed instead of the backup being saved to registry editor its saved to notebook, but from notebook i can't undo the deletes, i have no idea how this has happened, i have run av and nothing is found.

When you make an issues backup it is saved by default to my documents and should look like a small piece of white paper with blue blocks on and end in .reg.
If however you have renamed the file before you use it to help you remember what it is, it will not be saved as a.reg file.
If this is the case, just rename it to end in .reg
If this is not the case it may be your file associations are a bit mixed up, are you xp or vista?

Hi Hazel, thankyou for your reply, i'm running XP you were spot on, i did rename them, i have now renamed them with a .reg i can't thank you enough, i would never have figured that out, i'm not very computer literate.
