Ccleaner has quit unexpectedly

Hello. I've been using Ccleaner for a long time and never had a problem until recently that it started giving an error, as you can see in the picture . I uninstalled it and reinstall and still not working.

Hope someone can help.

Thanks.

Did you send the report?

Can you give some details about what operating system you use.

What security software you use.

And which build number of CCleaner you are using.

Hello. Yes, I sent the report. No answer

I use Windows 7 Ultimate SP1.

AVG Internet Security 2015

Problems started with the "v4.19.4867" version (or "v4.18.4844" I´m not sure), and with the latest version, "v5.00.5050" it keeps happening
Thank you

If you temporarily disable AVG and then run CCleaner does the error still happen?

Yes, still happen

some AV programs adversely effect CC and some AV's don't completely 'turn off' when you disable them.

up to very recently I had been using AVG IS 2015 will no ill-effect on CC.

but to eliminate your AV, or other background tasks, see if CC runs to completion with the PC in Safe Mode.

Ccleaner running in safe mode does not display the error message

Finally, i found the solution.

It was the K Lite Codec Pack. I dont know why but I just uninstalled it and now CCleaner is working normally.

Thanks for your support.

Good to hear, and thanks for the feedback, it may help others one day.

+1. Thanks for the info.

Windows is like a messy spiderweb: Connections where you least expect them.

I had the same problem and found another solution for those who use BitDefender:

Go to "Protection", "Advanced threat defence", "Settings", "Add applications to exceptions" and introduce "ccleaner.exe" from the path where the application is installed .

Doing that with BitDefender doesn't always work, see here:

For your information only: my post reported a way to solve the problem "Ccleaner has quit unexpectedly" (as shown in the title of the forum), not for the difficulty of installing the program.

The message "Ccleaner has quit unexpectedly" was suddenly shown after several years of using it without problems. This message disappeared after including "ccleaner.exe" in the BitDefender exceptions list.

I just now added Ccleaner to bit defender excusions, it now wrks straight through with no problems.

Thanks for the information on that one.
