when the bar is stuck at 98% what does it show as the stage it is currently performing underneath in the block of text?
usually the last few things done is the cleansing and compacting of Firefox things, does it say something along those lines at all?
I will have to check. Something interesting happened the other day. I minimized ccleaner, and made this thread. Later in the day I closed my browser, and ccleaner was fully finished @ 100%. So, what you said may have taken place in slow motion. IN fact; Ccleaner used to zip right through my drive, now it takes a minute or so. Thanks for reply. Will look into that. Peace
Sounds like you are properly being exited from Firefox or Chrome before you clean. Before the next clean, exit all browsers, open task manager and make sure no chrome or mozilla products are running in the processes or details tab. Then clean and see if it still sticks
