I have CCleaner Free v6.30.11385 (64 bit). I want to upgrade to Pro for the special price of $14.28. I entered my card info. After this is accepted, it goes to a screen that says I have to “click the button below” to complete my purchase with Sales Tax Information. There is no button to click anywhere on this weird final screen. I have gone through this process 5-6 times this weekend (Thanksgiving) with the same hang up each time. What’s going wrong? I’d like to take advantage of the special price before it expires;.
Are you using an Adblocker?
Do you have your Browsers security set to ‘Strict’ or similar?
Often Adblockers will see a certain button (or other element on a webpage) as being an advert and so will block it from appearing.
‘Strict’ browser security can do the same thing - it does warn you in the browser settings that setting ‘Strict’ may cause some websites not to display or work properly.
eg. Firefox tells you:
It’s to do with the way that the programming code for the particular button was written.
I’ve had it happen on a number of websites, I’ve had whole, not advertisiing, sub-sections of webpages not displaying at all until I disabled all adblocking, and it seems to happen more often nowadays that it used to do in the past.
You wouldn’t even notice that something has been incorrectly hidden from view, unless you know something should be there and it isn’t.
(You could say that adblocker or security isn’t clever enough, and just blocks it regardless).
If your browser security is set to Strict then try turning it down.
And/or try using your browser with the extensions/add-ons temporarily turned off (eg, Firefoxes 'Troubleshoot mode").
And/or try using a different browser.
I was trying to upgrade in the PC App.
After 2 hours I got mad and started hitting the tab key! After several hits … a button appeared, way to the right of the screen. It actually shows up if you MAXIMIZE the app screen. What the heck!? Who maximizes there CC app??
