ccleaner free clearing chrome 8 thumbnails

CCleaner Free v5.41.6446 (64 bit) has been clearing the 8 thumbnails on the opening page of my Chrome browser since the start of last week. I haven't changed any of ccleaners setting. How do I stop this happening please? O/S is Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.

Any idea what settings I need to change to stop this happening please? Do I have to untick Internet Cache or Internet History under Applications>Google Chrome?
