CCleaner for Mac 1.16 Released

As per the announcements section. Now with full Mojave support!

CCleaner v1.16.573 refuses to launch in Mac OS X 10.7.5. When I double-click on the icon it makes the opening animation but nothing ever happens after then. Removing it with AppCleaner, restarting, and reinstalling didn't help.

I had to downgrade back to v1.15.507 to get it to work. If CCleaner v.1.16 no longer supports older versions of Mac OS, then please update your web site where it states "Requires an Apple Mac running 64-bit macOS 10.6 to 10.14 Mojave".

Noted. We no longer have QA test environments set up for MacOS 10.6 and 10.7 (only 10.8 to 10.14, with 10.15 on the way). We'll get the various collateral updated to reflect that 10.6 and 10.7 are no longer supported on the most recent CCleaner Mac version.

I may have a similar problem. I have High Sierra 10.13.6 on my Mac. Had CCleaner free for Mac installed. Purchased CCleaner Pro and received download link. When I try to install pro version, nothing happens. I have uninstalled all versions and tried reinstalling Pro version. Still no luck. Get following error message when I try to upgrade to Pro:

“The registration process failed to save the key file.”

Perhaps I am doing something wrong?? Please advise how I can get Pro version up & running. Thank you.

Glad to see an update for Mac! I'm running Catalina and the app works fine here as well. I've been monitoring the files deleted/analyzed and don't see anything of concern yet. If needed, I can beta test/send debugging information for this type of environment for continued development.

I've been along time user for CCleaner on Windows and was pretty sad to see how little development into the Mac OS over the past years.

Side note: The issue with the previous build about requiring multiple admin log-ins to purge data is no longer present -- THANK YOU.

@jeromy great to hear everything is going smoothly for you so far with Catalina. Strictly speaking CCMac 1.16 only supports up to Mojave - the version that will have been fully QAed against Catalina (CCMac 1.17) is due out later this year. In the meantime though, please do feed back anything you find with 1.16 on Catalina - any community feedback will be helpful with getting 1.17 out in a timely fashion.

For reference which Catalina beta version are you on at the moment? And are you staying up to date with the new bets releases as they come out? I hear there are some potential "breaking stuff" changes coming up in future betas.

@mhinds1259 there shouldn't be a problem with the latest CCMac 1.16 on High Sierra.

At what point are you seeing the error? You are able to download okay from https://download.ccleaner.com/mac/CCMacSetup116.dmg and install - but the problem comes when trying to enter your licence key? Are you copy-pasting in your serial key to avoid transcription errors and your name as it appears in the email confirmation?

I'm using 10.15 Beta (19A501i). Which I believe is the latest developer build. I've read about those changes, but have yet to experience any of them.

@Dave CCleaner Yes, I am able to download. I also cut & paste the license key which populates fine. However, when I click on the "register" key, I get the message I referenced. Any additional advice?

Version 1.16.573 does not run on my iMac High Sierra 10.13.6 It says update 1.16.573 ready to install, however it will NOT install. Fed up with Ccleaner. had it for many years but this latest update is a fiasco. Difficult to remove also. Cleverbridge support have not responded to queries.
