CCleaner-Firefox Messages

Hello,

I have the latest version of the program, and every time I set it to Analyze or Clean a popup message tells me I need to close Mozilla Firefox, even though Firefox is in fact closed. This did not happen with the previous version. Can anyone tell me how to stop this behaviour so that the Firefox browser is included in the cleaning process.

Your help would be appreciated.

Thanks and regards,

Just in case, uninstall and re install CCleaner.

Next, Firefox.exe is sometimes still there even when its physically closed. Check your Task Manager and try again.

By the way, Welcome to the Forums :)

no need to uninstall ccleaner

open task manager go to the processes tab and alphabetize it you'll find firefox.exe is indeed running

usually this is due to a bad theme or plugin that doesn't allow firefox to close correctly

I say this because there is a bug which doesn't uninstall the previous version properly.

The CCleaner64 is installed in the (x86) folder.

Hence the "Just in case"
