CCleaner finding more trackers than it removes.

My CCLeaner (multiple versions) often claims to remove more trackers than it discovers but every once in a while (I haven't found a pattern yet) it will find a lot of trackers but only remove a small number of them and on a rescan it will not find the other trackers that it did not remove.

don'tFor example, it may find 1100 trackers but only remove 5 and subsequent rescans doesn't locate any of the other trackers.

Dunno for sure.

Even before Health Check CCleaner would often show different Found-to-Cleaned figures.

There can be various reasons why that happens.

Including things like the closed/open status of files changing between the scan and the clean.

Sometimes it's because you have set some Cookies to keep, or told Health Check to allow all cookies for a website.

So although it finds them it doesn't clean them because you have told it not to.

It talks about logins there, but it's all the cookies for that website that you are allowing to be kept.

Sometimes it may be because you browser uses 'cookie jars' or their equivalent in that browser, so altough it reports all the cookies in a 'jar' it only reports cleaning one jar (Because cleaning that one has cleared everything in it, 1 deletion rather than many individual deletions).
