Ccleaner fails Registry Cleaner every run

For the last couple of versions of Ccleaner I have been getting the following fail every time I run Registry Cleaner.

Invalid file reference ImagePath - "d:\program files\avast software\avast\afwserv.exe" HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\avast! Firewall

Any ideas, please?

Regards

yes avast is stopping you from disabling avast, as any good security program would do. You're trying to clean everything the registry section has found. please read my signature.

Thanks for your speedy reply. I have been using Ccleaner for thousands of years, well, it seems like it, and I have never had this problem. Why is it happening now?

Regards

Avast probably started to not advertise its links to that registry entry so it began to start to show in the unlinked registry items (just a guess, I don't use Avast and never clean reg entries having to do with any installed security products (or really any installed product at all but especially security))

If you're using the latest Avast 7, it may be something new they've introduced.

Right click that entry in the registry scan window, and select "Add To Exclude List", and you won't see it again.

Thank you, that works. It will save me a few key stokes every time I run Registry Scan.
