I am using free version CCleaner v 5.3 .2 and my hard drive is a NTFS 500 GB ( ST500LT012-1DG142 ).My laptop has Windows 8.1 Single language with Bing which was already installed when bought new.I use Google Chrome v59 ( 64 bit ).My question or problem is that I have tried 3 times to do a Driver Wipe on my HD,but it only wipes 39% of the drive and I even left the driver wipe on during the night, but still only 39%.Why is this ?
just checking, but when using Drive Wipe are you selecting Free Space Only or Entire Drive?
Sometimes wiping free space, disk imaging, etc., can fail if the hard disk has errors.
You could run ChkDsk on the hard disk to correct errors, note that in some instances to correct the errors ChkDsk /r has to be used.
