Hello, I’d like to share my concern regarding the CCleaner app, which isn’t working properly. I’m using Android 16 and OriginOS 6. I have a Vivo V30 device that I’ve updated to Android 16. Before updating to Android 16, the CCleaner app worked perfectly and ran smoothly. However, after updating to Android 16, the app no longer works and doesn’t run smoothly.
I’m having trouble with the “App Cache Cleaner” feature—the app doesn’t respond when I try to clear app cache; instead, it freezes and doesn’t work properly.
I hope the developers will fix this app because I really rely on it to clear my app cache. I’ve been using this app since 2023 because I think it’s great and highly recommend it for app cache cleaning.
I hope this app gets fixed soon.
Thank you
Hi @sukmaa309,
Please let me know what version of CCleaner for Android you are using so we can investigate this further.
You can see this by tapping the three horizontal lines in the top left of the app and selecting About this app from the menu that appears.
I’m using version 26.04.0
@sukmaa309, thanks for this screenshot.
This issue looks most likely to be related to the way OriginOS 6 customises the Android 16 system UI and app permissions. OriginOS adds its own layouts, dialogs and background-app controls on top of standard Android, and those changes can interfere with how CCleaner drives the system’s cache-clearing screens and runs its background services.
To help us confirm exactly what’s happening on your device and look for a workaround, please could you send us a fresh set of logs from the app:
-
Open CCleaner on your phone.
-
Tap the menu button in the top-left of the app.
-
Select Settings.
-
Tap **Send a log report** and follow the prompts to submit the report.
I’ve sent you a DM to request the email address you used to send the logs, so I can locate your report in our system and pass it to the developers.
If you have any issues, please let me know.
Dear Laurence, this is a known bug; all Android 16 phones fail at clearing cache. Please don’t tell me, as a member of the CCleaner support team, you don’t know this piece of critical information, or are you just deflecting? Unbelievable!

Hi @dadybear1234,
We are aware of an issue affecting cache cleaning for Android 16 users who are on the latest security update, and that one is currently under investigation by our development team. However, that is a separate issue to the one reported in this thread, which relates specifically to how OriginOS 6 customises the Android 16 system UI and app permissions on Vivo devices.
As the Android 16 cache cleaning issue is still in active investigation, I’m not able to share a time frame for when further details or a fix will be available. As soon as we have more to share, we’ll post an update.
Other similar apps have fixed the problem. It’s taking you guys a long time?
