In Firefox, Recently Closed Tabs & Recently Closed Windows are part of the history, but every time I run it with "Internet History" checked, the Recently Closed Tabs & Windows stay untouched. Its wierd because the history for the current session is deleted, but not those two. CCleaner only cleans these two areas of the history out when I check "Session", but that doesn't make any sense. Recently closed windows and tabs are part of the history, not the current sesson... so I have to loose all the pages I have open to clear out my entire history. Can this please be fixed? I just bought this, and I'm really disappointed by this. I wanted to clean my history normally without losing my entire session.
What build of Firefox are you using?
(don't forget if you bought ccleaner you are entitled to personal support from Piriform)
To break this down, as it was confusing to me:
Currently CCleaner counts the undo close tab/window as session items and are thusly cleaned by the "session" option in ccleaner ind firefox/mozilla.
Your suggestion is that this logic is incorrect and thus should be counted under history.
[Opinion]to me this seem more of a seesion thing than history, however if Firefox itself makes a distinction between history and session and includes these undo-close-tabs in history and not session i'd agree a change in CCleaner should be made[/opinion]
This isn't really a bug so I'm going to move it to suggestions.
Version 29.0.1
I don't see the difference between a previously viewed page in a currently opened window, and a closed page in a no longer existing tab or seperate window. They're pretty much the same thing. The only difference is one previously viewed web page was is in a tab that it still open, one was a no longer existing tab, and one was in a no longer existing window that was closed out. If anything, the reverse is true.
Erasing your web history, should erase all previously viewed pages, whether they were in a currently open tab, or no longer used tab or seperate window. Its still a page that is no longer being viewed, hence it is your web viewing history.
