CCleaner destroys MBAM auto updates

Everytime I run ccleaner it causes MBAM not to auto update. What setting could cause this? Anyone else have this problem?

[MalwareBytes Anti Malware More*]
LangSecRef=3024
Detect=HKCU\Software\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
Default=False
FileKey1=%AppData%\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs|*.*
FileKey2=%CommonAppData%\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs|*.*
FileKey3=%CommonAppData%\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware|mbam-setup.exe

Can't see anything in Winapp2.ini that will cause the problem.

Hope you are not using the Free version as it doesn't have the auto update capability.

Found a common line after googleing the problem,

......for automatic updates to occur you must use the Scheduler button on the Protection tab or the Scheduler Settings tab on the Settings tab, otherwise scheduled/automatic updates will not happen.

@Jimmy,

Whats your CC version?, MBAM version?, Windows version?

I've ran MBAM and CC together for about 4 years without my weekly scheduled MBAM update being killed.

My guess would be a cache is getting wiped out that's not even related to the MBAM cleaner in CCleaner. I haven't a clue if MBAM like tons of other programs uses Internet Explorer's Temporary Internet Files to store fetched downloads before installing them, however that would be the very first place I'd look.

I'm using ccleaner 4.00 with MBAM 1.75 I cleaned my computer on 2-26 and mbam has not auto updated since then. It is deleting something but I don't know what or where to look.

I'm using ccleaner 4.00

That version of CCleaner is old, the current version is: 4.11.4619

You can't expect real help using an outdated version of the software, update.

You should reinstall MBAM over the top of your current installation to repair it (although it may be necessary to do a clean install, i.e.; uninstall MBAM, reboot, install MBAM). If it's the Pro/Paid version you may even have to re-input your license/serial number.

It's also unclear if the OP is using a winapp2 file or other ccleaner "enhancing" unofficial unsupported options as suggested in the first reply
