CCleaner corrupting the Search Index

I thought this was fixed since version 3.5.......... but the moment I ran CCleaner, after a while I saw this in Event Log:

Crawl could not be completed on content source <winrt://{S-1-5-21-3719700465-3453217553-2011399094-1001}/>.

Context: Application, SystemIndex Catalog

Details:

The parameter is incorrect. (HRESULT : 0x80070057) (0x80070057)</strong>

That's the reason I have stopped CCleaner for a while and now decided to give it another try but no luck :(

Have you tried unchecking the MS Search option? Worked for me. The index no longer has to be rebuilt and I'm not seeing any more errors in the Event Viewer.

I haven't even noticed it man! thanks for drawing my attention to it! I'll monitor the errors over the next few days and hopefully it doesn't corrupt my Index so I can continue to use CCleaner.

Cheers Bro

Is CCleaner actually corrupting the index, or is it just deleting it?

In my, very guessy, opinion it's the latter not the former

LOL  That's funny. That's my very guessy, purely opinion-based speculation as well! Great minds must think alike. ;)

Hopefully someone will have something more fact-based, but in the meantime our optomism is reassuring.

When I run CCleaner v 5.09, Windows 10, I'm getting the event warning: Crawl could not be started on content source <iehistory. Source: Search

I don't see an MS Search option to untick. So are there any other solutions for this?

Edit: Oops - found it.
