yup, but CCleaner.exe /AUTO /SHUTDOWN, not Forced Shutdown.

i want command line parameters with Forces Shutdown.

Thanks

Do you mean you want CCleaner to force a shutdown without first doing an Auto Clean ?

Alan

No, I just need CCleaner to Auto Clean then forced the shutdown. Due to the command line parameters CCleaner.exe / AUTO / shutdown only do Auto Clean and Shutdown, but if there is a program that runs the computer will not immediately shutdown perfectly. Is there any command line parameters that I want?

Thanks

Hi Martin.

Are you having problems with your PC hanging on shutdown?

You don't mention your OS, but if it's XP that problem can usually be fixed by running Microsofts "UPHClean" as a service.

User Profile Hive Cleanup Service:

I can't remember the last time I had a "hung" shutdown since installing this.

If that's not your problem, or if you have Vista or Win7, then just ignore this post.

:)

Interesting. Thanks Dennis, I hadn't come across that before.

Hi Dennis,

I use XP for OS.

I will try User Profile Hive Cleanup Service, thanks.

If you have XP, it's really worth installing, and it uses next to no resource:

It's cured "hanging" shut downs for one or two of the folk on here.

Just to let you know we've recommended it on here countless times before. It's one of those duh moments as to why Microsoft just didn't have it installed on XP by default or have it as a critical update, it's that useful!
