CCleaner cleaning Opera ?

It is my first post here . Hope i will do right!

In latest version of CCleaner 2.5 and also in all previous versions , I really wonder what could explain that , under Cleaner - Applications , i don't see anything related to cleaning Opera , Google Chrome , Safari ...etc ...as announced on the CCleaner site ? I uninstalled and reinstalled the program without success. Any idea ?

Using Pentium 4 , Windows XP Pro SP3 .

Thank you for your feedback. :(

Do you have them installed into the default location? If not installed into the default location that will break the cleaning of many applications, although for web browsers CCleaner uses some sort of detection so I don't know if it will fail with them.

Once they're installed they should be listed in the large Cleaner icon, in the Applications tab at the very top. Each browser has their own header/section with the cleaners available for them, such as this Opera example:

Note that the *Opera (Classic Install) cleaner is not a part of the original CCleaner installation, this is however it if using winapp2.ini:

[*Opera (Classic Install)]; This cleans the Classic Install of Opera where Opera stores all files; in its program files folder.LangSecRef=3027Detect=HKCU\Software\Opera SoftwareDefault=TrueFileKey1=%ProgramFiles%\Opera\profile\cache4|*.*FileKey2=%ProgramFiles%\Opera\profile\cacheop|*.*FileKey3=%ProgramFiles%\Opera\profile|*.sbsd.bakFileKey4=%ProgramFiles%\Opera\profile|bittorrent.logFileKey5=%ProgramFiles%\Opera\profile|cookies4.datFileKey6=%ProgramFiles%\Opera\profile|download.datFileKey7=%ProgramFiles%\Opera\profile|global.datFileKey8=%ProgramFiles%\Opera\profile|Opera.dirFileKey9=%ProgramFiles%\Opera\profile|vlink4.datFileKey10=%ProgramFiles%\Opera\profile\sessions|autosave.win

Andavari,

Thank you for your fast reply and explanations provided.

I don't have CCleaner installed in Windows Program Files but on another partition.

I have Firefox and Opera installed on the same partition.

Strange then that , under Cleaner - Applications , Firefox icon is there but not Opera...

But i can live with this bug. CCleaner always did a fine job for me anyway...

I meant the web browsers themselves, wherever you've installed CCleaner shouldn't really be the issue.

I see you're using Opera 10 Alpha from that other thread, that explains things.
