CCleaner and System Restore

I have been using CC now for several years on my desktop, running Windows XP and it works with no problem - great little programme.

Question - can CC affect System Restore?

I have recently installed CC on my new laptop, running Windows 7 Home Premium and System Restore won't work properly. I have all the 'option' boxes in CC ticked and wonder if I should untick a few. It may be a coincidental problem and nothing to do with CC - but it would be good to know either way. Thanks

I invite other people's input here, but I use Windows 7, Vista, & XP & I have never had a problem with system restore & CCleaner.

Others may have had problems, so I invite their input.

Did you run WipeFreeSpace? If you ran did then Windows (whatever version) would have said oh my drive is filling up I will remove sys restore points to save the harddrive from filling.

No - 'Wipe Free Space' is the only box that is unchecked.

System Restore won't work properly.

What does it not do ?

Did it work properly before you installed CC ?

If you stop using CC does S.R. recover and work perfectly ?

Could you have coincidentally suffered from a malware intrusion ?

Help us out a little.

What error message do you get when trying to run a restore?

Thanks!
