CCleaner and recycle bin

Hi-

Could someone please explain how or if ccleaner empties the recycle bin. My recycle bin empties on its own at various times. I see the prompt for recycle bin undrsystems. I am not sure what having that checked does.

If you have the recycle bin ticked under system, it will empty the bin when you run the cleaner.

Also if you have ccleaner set to run at start up ( ccleaner>options>settings) then it will empty the bin each time you boot the computer.

I have recycle bin unchecked yet it still empties spontaneously. Please advise. Thanks

Can you say which operating system you are using and also which version of ccleaner.

Are you new to ccleaner ?

Have you noticed anything that seems happen just before the bin 'empties' itself?

Do you use Norton?

My operating system is Windows XP Pro

ccleaner version is 2.19.901 and I am very new (less than a week) to ccleaner

Computer seem to be idle for awhile ie I am not using it

I use Norton 360 v 3.0.135
