are opera icons different from the icons already cleaned by the opera section?
Yes, it's different.
When this feature was first introduced it cleared all icons from the "%LocalAppData%\Opera\Opera\icons" folder, which is everything.
The feature hard wired into CCleaner now leaves bookmark icons in place. Like these ...
Running that winapp2.ini routine will clean the lot. It will also clean all "Speed Dial" thumbnails just in case anyone doesn't know that.
