I deleted the Opera browser. CCleaner still reads the add-ons for it. Why would CCleaner still see the browser and all it's add-ons?
1. Left over registry data.
2. And/or left over user application data, such as the Opera profile being left fully intact.
Windows packageWhen Opera is installed with the single user option
- Opera can be installed and run from everywhere.
- The default Windows installation location is: %PROGRAMFILES%\Opera (this requires administrator rights)
When Opera is installed without the single user option
- User settings are saved into Opera\profile.
- E-mails are saved into Opera\profile\mail.
- User settings are separated between the roaming profile and the local profile.
- The actual location of the directories for the current user is defined in the Windows registry at: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders
