CCleaner always makes Regedit forget LastKey

Under "Applications >Windows > RegEdit", the check box has no affect. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Applets\Regedit (value LastKey) always gets deleted after running CCleaner. XP Pro.

If that check box isn't working you could input a registry exclusion located in CCleaner at:

Options -> Exclude -> Add -> Registry Key

Yeah those sometimes don't work. Glad you got sorted.

Although this probably needs its own topic, I also noticed this version doesn't clean anything for Chrome. I used "Include" to add:

C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Cache\*.*

and

C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\History*.*

Would greatly help to know which versions you have of the following:

- Chrome

- CCleaner

- Windows

Lastly, are you on 32 or 64 Bit OS?

Chrome = 22.0.1229.79

CCleaner = 3.24.1850

Windows = XP Pro (Sp3) 32Bit

I guess this has been dropped since there is a workaroung. Just makes me wonder what else requires manual intervention to clean or prevent from cleaning. :-/

I have not been able to recreate your issue. Please make sure you don't have rogue chrome processes running (sometimes caused by things like Cloud Print, etc)

Actually, I don't use Chrome that much, except for Google sites that screwup without it. I don't have any extentions except for the "Default Extension 1.0" whatever that is, that I can't get rid of.

I'll try to remove the "Includes" again tomorrow. i just noticed the history didn't go away, so i hit it with a bigger hammer.

Well, that's steaky of them. Anyway, when I "Included"

and

C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\History*.*

it goes away.
