CCleaner 7 - Where do I find clean-browser-upon-exit?

Is that option still around ?

While seven doesn’t have that feature we have been assured it is coming back, in the coming months, almost too little too late if you ask me but…

Hi @Charith1,
At this time CCleaner 7 does not have the Smart Cleaning option.
We will be adding this feature in an update that will be released soon.
If you have any questions, please let me know.

Thanks Laurence.

I just uninstalled 7 and rolled back to 639 , wanted to include the link to the forum article. But looks like they do not want people to share that link, it was blocked :frowning:

The new 7 might be a huge improvement under the hood and might have taken a lot of, much appreciated, blood sweat and beers from the dev team, so i am sorry to say that from the side I am seeing it is just a big disappointment and a step back.

it’s not that link, it’s all links if you’re a new enough member to the forum, we’ve begged that that rule is bad for this site – as most people who come here post very low number of posts and only want help which can be short – and should be removed, unfortunately they’ve not changed it

@Laurence_CCleaner

I’ve been using CCleaner for years and always liked how simple and effective it was. But in version 7, I’ve noticed they removed the option to run automatic cleaning directly from the Recycle Bin right-click menu.

That feature was extremely useful - one click and everything was cleaned without even opening the main program. I (and I’m sure many others) used it almost daily, especially to quickly clear browser data and temporary files in one go.

Please bring this back or at least make it optional in the settings. It really made CCleaner more practical and efficient.

Since this option is gone, I’ve actually uninstalled version 7 and gone back to the last 6.x release that still has it.

Also, I’ve noticed that many users here on the forum are unhappy with the new interface - it feels less intuitive and less clear compared to the previous version. The older layout was simpler, faster, and more user-friendly.

I truly hope the development team considers not only bringing back the “Run CCleaner” option and the automatic browser cleaning, but also reworking the interface to make it closer to the old one or at least improving it to be more intuitive and efficient.

So you pushed an automatic major update to an unfinished version, with major features missing? That’s unbelievable. Don’t fix a running system. People like me have subscribed because of features like this. Instead I get a slow scan that doesn’t even work half the time.
