Bitdefender doesn’t like some of the JS librairies used by Ccleaner 7. Is it safe to ignore these detected threats?
It’s probably just the usual that you see with new software versions.
There are always some AV’s that don’t recognise the new software so err on the side of caution and block things they are not sure about.
It takes them a bit of time to catch up and add the new things to their definitions of what to allow.
Bitdefender will probably stop flagging it in a couple of days or so.
If you want reassurance then browse to the file, right-click it , and scan it with Defender.
And/or get the Free version of MalwareBytes and do the same to scan the file with MalwareBytes, (or run a full manual scan of your computer with Malwarebytes Free - I do one at least once a week as a second opinion/check to Defender).
And/or you could submit the file to Virustotal where it will be scanned with multiple AV engines.
PS I.ve done all 3 on the copy of “it.js” on my Win 10 laptop and they all say it’s clean.
VirusTotal give it a 0 detections out of 62 AV programes, which is very good.
(Usually in VT you’ll get a couple of the AVs giving a false positive, most people would ignore if it’s just one or two out of 60 or more).
