CCleaner 6.22 stopped working and unistall / reinstall not resolving

Hi,

I run Windows 11 Home - 10.0.22631 - fully up to date.

Have used CCleaner for years and with no issues at all but the most recent version 6.22 initially loaded and ran ok but has stopped in the last few days.

It opens, partially but does not finish loading - screen sits partially loaded.

I have tried an uninstall and reinstall but the reinstall hangs part way through and the only way to exit is to kill it.

Anyomne else had a similar issue and know how I can resolve please?

No one has reported similar as far as I can see.

"in the last few days" was this by any chance straight after doing the March Windows Update? There are various reports online that it's caused problems for some Win11 users.

I'd try doing a 'Restart' of the computer and then a Windows Check for Updates. May not help but always worth doing.
