Why do you redirect us to a downloads site where we get an old version? After installation we just get the same popup about the update again! Please update your downloadlinks. I used this downloadlink to get the lastest version: http://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/download/standard
I had the exact same problem as Kiwi: the update link provided within the program was for my existing version (5.42.6495).
I was finally able to update to 5.42.6499 by downloading from the builds page.
I shouldn't have had to hunt for alternative download links...
I (we) should have been able to rely on the update link provided by the program.
It's likely that the upgrade link from the running CCleaner points to the filehippo page, which usually has the latest version, but as the minor upgrade had only just been released the filehippo page had not had time to automatically update itself.
Just a timing blip between things updating tthemselves.
I'm not sure how filehippo works but imagine it is scanning for new versions all the time and has a lot of programs to scan and check for updates so that it can then update its own page.
" had only just been released the filehippo page had not had time to automatically update itself. "

Im using CCleaner for many many years. But never ever before such thing happened. Therefore I'd like to suggest an expert may soon deal with the problem.
Same here, figured I'd find an answer somewhere, seem to remember it happening at least once before. Not sure why we can't choose filehippo or piriform for DL.
Been using Piri for years, first time I've come to the forums, which goes to show how problem free their warez are in general.
(And always be aware that the 'standard' installer for CCleaner from the official buids page still contains a bundled offer (Avast or Chrome) that has to be unticked during the install if you don't want the offer).
