Two things wrong with latest version running on Windows 7 64bit .
I. When running clean up it sits for ages on Internet History ... just spinning around .. 
2 . It tells me IE 11 is active and needs to be closed , even though it is !
Hope this will be resolved in a future update .

The devs are aware of some issues with the latest Ccleaner build and are working on them.

Sadly the latest update has fixed precisely nothing .. History goes round and round and round... Says IE open when its closed ... sigh .
have you opened Task Manager to confirm IE, or any related tasks (perhaps Skype), aren't running?
can you try running CC with the PC in Safe Mode to see if the issue still occurs.
