example:
I put the cookie for my.yahoo.com in the cookies to keep.
After I run the analysis and the cleaner I checked the
cookies to keep and it is still there. However when I
go to the internet to my home page (my.yahoo.com), it
doesn't know who I am.
This happens for all the cookies I keep with login info.
Does not happen to earlier versions which I went back too.
I wonder if your log-in is kept in a different cookie?
There's a "login.yahoo.com", a "mail.yahoo.com", and the one you mention, "my.yahoo.com".
If these others show up, I would try keeping them, especially the login.yahoo.com cookie, as I'm guessing all logins to yahoo are usually the same Screen Name.
There usually are more than one cookie for places like this, so it's worth a try.
If you like you could mention the others which don't seem to work. We may be able to help with them, but that's up to you of course as we don't want to impinge on your privacy.
Hope that helps.

Hi Dennis,
thanks for your response. The only cookie that appears for yahoo is my.yahoo.com.
Some of the others are fancast.com and tvguide.com. When I get time, I will play around
and see if I can figure out anything.
If I do, I'll let you know.
Thanks again for your response
Okay, the first time I installed the new version, I installed over the prior one.
This time I uninstalled and removed any ref to cccleaner. Then I installed the
new version. Prior to going on the internet, I checked the cookies and it showed
NO cookies in the column to delete and NO cookies in the column to be saved.
After going on the internet, I logged into my homepage and then spent time going to
other sites. After exiting from the internet, I ran cccleaner.
At first I check the cookie colums and there were no cookies listed.
Decided to go back to prior version and it works okay.
Think I will stay with prior version.
Thanks for posting back with that. I can't reproduce that although I'm on XP.
Can you post your Operating System, and which browser you're using as that info will be helpful to the devs.
Going back to what works is what I would do, but would you confirm that the previous version still works as it should.

I am using Windows Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 2
and IE Ver 8.
The prior version of cccleaner works great. Never had any problems
with any of the prior Versions.
Hi!
As I just installed a new PC running Windows 7, I took the opportunity to install the latest version of CCleaner (a magnificent utility, btw!): 3.00.1303.
I installed as standalone (for all users). As I configured it, I discovered the following problem with cookies:
- Options - Cookies
- moved some cookies from left to right (under Cookies to keep)
- Clic on another tab (eg. Parameters)
- clic back on Cookies
=> The cookies I moved to the right are back to the left!
This happens only in a non-Admin session. If I do the same from the Admin session, it works fine. I even find the cookies I moved to the right when I go to the non-admin session.
Problem of course is that non-admin cookies are not visible from the admin session, so I have no way to preserve any of those as normal user.
Having said this, I just realised that if I disable 'save to a .ini file'. it works fine (and I realise why).
My problem then is: how can I back up my non-admin settings and port them to another computer?
Thanks for your support and for that very good and very useful program!

Bernard,
You might get a response to your problem if you start your
own thread and not hi-jack mine.
