ccleaner 2.16 won't delete directories with "$"

It appears that ccleaner 2.16 won't remove a directory with "$" in its name, even when I specify it specifically for inclusion and it appears correctly in the .INI file. Files within the directory are deleted, but not the directory itself. I first noticed this with UltraISO's working directory

%TEMP%\Ultra$ISO

but have since checked it with other directories whose names contain "$". It won't delete them. (It apparently will delete individual files with "$" in their names, however.)

Known bug? Workaround?

Thanks.

Pete

I'm surprised this has gotten no notice. It's a pretty gross fault.

I'm wondering if this workaround for deleting a folder as well as it's contents would do what you require:

This was posted by Augeas recently, and as stated, worked for me, although not with those particular folders. Remember to check "Custom Files And Folders" in CCleaner\Windows\Advanced.

EDIT: Welcome to the forum by the way.

This did the trick. Thanks a million!

Exellent, I'm pleased it worked for you.
