I have CCleaner v1.40.520. When attempting an update to v1.41.544 my virus detection (BitDefender AntiVirus v10) indicates there is a virus in it: Trojan.Downloader.Zlob.AADO
Any ideas?

HI
I've got it too!!
Same for me...and i can't uninstall it, i've tried to move or delete it ....nothing works
(uninstall.exe is the Trojan and Bitdefender can not put it in quarantine)
Just re install V140 on it and now all is ok.... no more Trojan
Make a deep scan for confirmation
Is it a false positive ? Maybe .....Piriform could answer
Regards
It's a false positive.
This is a very common occurance where anti virus/malware programs see uninstallers as trojans etc.
It will be a false positive, I am sure.
I have contacted Bit Defender regarding this and will let you know as soon as I hear anything.
if you want to be on the safe side, check the suspicious file(s) with this webservice: virustotal
now im using 1.41.544.. my antivirus program detect uninst.exe as trojan.. im using Antivir PE. Now i cant uninstal my CCleaner..
Why would you uninstall it?

I too have AntiVir PE running & fully updated (25th July 2007). However, when CCleaner was updated to version 1.41.544 this morning, a virus was immediately reported & quarantined. The Details are as follows -
C:\Program Files\CCleaner\uninst.exe
TR/Dldr.Zlob.AADO.5
This is as everyone is saying a false positive. I have just downloaded latest defs 5 mins ago, I have avira , no warning from it, even if I open CCleaner in prog files.
Also to give out this info, I have just recieved a reply from the email I sent to Bitdefender who reported the same Trojan Zlob in CCleaner uninstaller....
Thank you for your interest in our BitDefender security solution.
We apologies for any inconvenience and we are glad to inform you that the
false positive you reported has been fixed.

I can confirm that yesterday, for a while, Antivir was detecting uninst.exe.
Then i have submitted the file to their online scan service and has been confirmed
being a FALSE POSITIVE.

Welcome back, Mr Xxxxx Xxxxx!
A listing of files alongside their results can be found below:

Currently (just updated Antivir 5 minutes ago) all works
fine. No detections
