CClean versus FindJunkFiles

Hi there,

I am new to CClean. I have used several other "clean-up" apps for a number of years. I installed CClean and left the default settings in place. I ran it to get rid of the flotsam and jetsom that PCs accumulate. I got rid of a lot of stuff which was good. I then ran "FindJunkFiles", one of my older clean-up apps, and was surprised by the amount of "stuff" that it found. It found 133 additional files amounting to 82.71 mb of space. Not a lot really but...

I can't copy the list of files found, however they included such types as .TMP, .TXT, .LOG, .CHK, .GID and so on. Is there something I am not doing with CClean configuration that I should be doing?

BTW I like the registry clean-up part very much. It seems to do a great job.

Thanks.

As a followup from my last post, I ran Cleanup.exe after running CClean and FindJunkFiles. Here is part of the report from Cleanup.exe. As you can see it found another 1.9GB of stuff. Hmm........

CleanUp! started on 07/12/07 19:20:01.

...THE COMPLETE FILE LIST WAS HERE, BUT I DELETED IT TO PROTECT PRIVACY ETC...

CleanUp! recovered 1.97 GB of disk space from 725 files. Wow! You really needed that.

CleanUp! finished on 07/12/07 19:20:30.
